Far too often, when police officers use deadly force, they are the ones who write the reports and collect evidence that is then provided to the District Attorney’s office. They have a close working relationship with each other. This is not transparent and far from being impartial. Sign our petition calling on our elected leaders to end qualified immunity and require independent investigations when police use deadly force.
